本課程以德文授課。

In level 4, the focus is on consolidating frequent syntactical structures, on reviewing and expanding structures already learned and on all five language skills: speaking, listening, reading, writing, and translating. Depending on your language skills, we will aim for sophisticated free speech, sophisticated listening comprehension, reading longer texts (newspaper, scientific texts, etc.) and the development of essay writing regarding different text functions. The course will prepare students to pass an internationally recognized exam (Zertifikat B1, B2 or Test DaF). Therefore, the course will also familiarize students with the format and requirements of these exams. The teaching method relates to the communicative language teaching approach, which means that the pragmatic usage of the foreign language in a relevant and modern setting is taught. You will be required to speak German and take part in training of academic and problem oriented writing in the foreign language. The course will be taught mainly in German with frequent comparisons between Chinese, English, and German in order to work with positive and negative interferences.

Main Objective to reach Level B2 CEFR Review of the Complete Grammar and Syntax of the German Language Strengthening of all 5 Language Competencies Deep Understanding of German Cultural Patterns within the Language

Students must have level B1-1 according to CEFR Regular homework and occasional presentations are required.
