本課程依照預防醫學的三段五級的架構分為以下幾個部分。第一段預防旨於達成健康促進(包含注重營養、養成運動習慣等)及特殊保護(包括實施預防注射、消除環境危險因子、避免職業/事故傷害等)；第二段預防，旨於早期診斷和適當治療(包括偵測次臨床病例、疾病篩檢、健康檢查)；第三段預防旨於殘障限制(包括適當治療遏止疾病惡化、避免併發及續發疾病)及復健(包含心理、生理、職能復健，長期照護)。 Based on the framework of preventive medicine (three levels and five stages), this course includes the following contents. Primary prevention aims for health promotion (e.g., nutrition and exercise, etc.) and specific protection (e.g., vaccination, removing environmental risk factors, preventing occupational and accidental injury). Secondary prevention aims for early diagnosis and proper treatment (e.g., identification of preclinical cases, disease screening, and health checkup). Tertiary prevention aims to restrict disability (e.g., treatment to prevent disease worsening, complications, and development of secondary disease) and rehabilitation (e.g., psychological, physiological, and occupational therapy and long-term care).
