  • 課程概述
In this course, students will enhance their English proficiency through the dynamic lens of agriculture and bioresource sciences. This course aims to equip students with the linguistic tools necessary for academic success in English-medium environments, particularly in fields related to agriculture and bioresources. By integrating content-based instruction with practical language applications, students will develop crucial skills in reading complex texts, engaging in scientific discourse, taking effective notes, and exercising critical thinking. This course is designed to foster not only language competence but also confidence in using English in their future academic and professional careers. Upon completion, students will be better prepared to tackle advanced studies and contribute to global discussions in their fields. To achieve these goals, the course is structured around several thematic units, each designed to focus on specific integrated language skills tailored to contexts in agriculture and bioresources. These units will explore topics such as sustainable farming practices, food and society, and environmental impacts of agricultural development. Within each unit, students will practice and refine their reading comprehension through analysis of scientific articles, enhance their spoken English during class discussions and presentations, and develop their writing and note-taking skills by summarizing key information and arguments. This integrated approach ensures that students not only learn English in an applied manner but also gain a deep understanding of important issues facing the agricultural sector today, preparing them for real-life applications and further specialized studies.
