  • 課程概述
    台灣是全球老化快速的國家，面對此一重要的變化，相關的健康議題逐漸受到重視。本課程主旨在於讓同學們了解老化及常見疾病相關之流行病學研究及相關議題。課程前半堂以老師授課為主，講授老年流行病學研究方法、老年病況及疾病相關議題；同學們事前閱讀重要的老年議題文獻，於後半堂分組報告及評論指定的文獻。希望本課程能將老化及老年疾病的議題應用到公共衛生實務上。 Taiwan has a fast-aging rate in the world. While encountering this important change, relevant health topics become important. The goal of this course is to let students understand the epidemiologic studies and related topics on aging and common diseases in the elderly. In general, the first half of each lecture will be given by the lecturer on the research method of geriatric epidemiology and specific topics on conditions and diseases in older adults. Students will read essential papers on geriatric topics. The latter half of the lecture is students’ group presentations and critique of a designated paper. Taken together, this course aims to explore topics related to aging and elderly diseases for public health practice.
  • 課程目標
    修習本課程的同學將 (1) 了解當代老化、老年疾病相關的健康議題 (碩B; 博I) (2) 建立從事老人相關研究之基本能力 (碩CH; 博I) (3) 學習評論及報告老化、老年疾病相關文獻 (碩H; 博D) (4) 培養文獻搜尋與閱讀的能力 。 Students are expected to (1) Understand the contemporary health issues related to aging and geriatric–related diseases (MS: B; Ph.D.: I) (2) Equip the basic ability to do geriatric research (MS: CH; Ph.D.: I) (3) Establish the ability to critique and present the paper on aging and geriatric diseases (MS: H; Ph.D.: D) (4) Develop skills in English reading and literature searching.

    英文文獻的閱讀能力，文獻搜尋的基本能力。 Students should have the ability of English reading and literature search.
