已選上0/100外系已選上0/0剩餘名額0已登記0- 課程概述**The course-add policy will be announced in the first week.** Linear algebra is a fundamental tool in many areas of computer science, including machine learning, quantum information, numerical computation, and theoretical computer science. Without familiarity with linear algebra, one cannot fully understand the literature in these fields or acquire new techniques. Linear algebra also serves as a foundation for advanced mathematics such as functional analysis. For most undergraduate students, this course will be their first exposure to abstract and formal mathematics. This course aims to introduce the basic notions of linear algebra, primarily following the textbook *Linear Algebra Done Wrong* by Sergei Treil. I will motivate the concepts with applications drawn from the aforementioned areas of computer science.
- 課程目標After completing this course, students are expected to be able to read research literature written in the language of linear algebra and to carry out basic computations and proofs involving matrices and linear operators.
