- Course ObjectiveThis course aims to teach students the rigid and flexible pavement design methods considering traffic as well as environmental loadings. Several pavement design methods , including AASHTO and AI are included. In addition, pavement evaluation (visual and equipment methods), maintenance strategies, and management system are also introduced. Through the classroom interaction, homework practice , exams, and term projects, students shall be able to complete the design work individually, and understand the pavement distress survey techniques and pavement management system contents.
