  • Course Description
    French 1 is a general French course, covering all language skills for level A1. The course will be organised around various themes, reflecting basic interactions and daily life in France and other French-speaking societies. It will cover both oral and writing to an equal level in production and comprehension. This course qualifies for French 2 upon completion, as well as other level 2 French courses.
  • Course Objective
    In this course, attendants will be introduced to French language as beginners. This course is aimed at acquiring different skills: ● Pragmatic skills: understanding basic interactions, both orally and written up to A1 level. ● Linguistic skills: acquiring grammatical, lexical, discursive and phonetic tools used in basic daily situations. ● Sociocultural: discovering France and other French-speaking societies.
  • Course Requirement
    No previous study of French is required. A conversational level of English or any romance language is helpful. To check for extra seats, please pop on the first day of class and check for availability.
