  • Course Description
This course introduces fundamental concepts in General Physics at the freshman level, providing a concise overview of key topics in the field. The course is separated into two semesters. In the second semester, we will go through electromagnetism, optics, relativity, and modern physics.
  • Course Objective
This course will focus on the understanding of fundamental concepts and utilize calculus to solve problems. We value attendance, class participation, and interaction, aiming to cultivate students' ability for independent thinking.
  • Course Requirement
This course is given in Chinese, whereas materials and exams will be provided in English. We aim to develop students' capacity for learning in English, preparing them for integration into the international community.
  • Expected weekly study hours before and/or after class
We expect at least 8 hours of lecture review and homework exercises each week.
  • Office Hour
Please write an email to the lecturer to arrange a meeting time.
*This office hour requires an appointment

    1. NTU recommends an upper limit of 20% for A+ grades. This is not a mandatory requirement. Instructors may adjust the percentage based on course requirements. Instructors teaching required courses are particularly encouraged to follow this guideline.
    2. NTU uses a letter grade system for assessment. The grade percentage ranges and the single-subject grade conversion table in the NATIONAL TAIWAN UNIVERSITY Regulations Governing Academic Grading are for reference only. Instructors may adjust the percentage ranges according to the grade definitions. For more information, see the Assessment for Learning Section。
