This course aims to help students understand the general and well-known research topics or approaches in the field of psychology through a systematic learning process. Each class will focus on a different topic, allowing students to understand the different processes of brain and mind, starting from the history and general principles of psychological development, gradually introducing basic mental operations, and further discussing advanced psychological theories such as learning, memory, emotions, language, thinking, and creativity. The course also extends from the psychological processes of individual to population involved in social interaction, along with the exploration of abnormal psychology. The main method of instruction is classroom lectures, complemented by group discussions, applying the psychological knowledge learned in the course to different everyday life themes.

1 To equip students with a foundational understanding of the various research approaches in psychology, laying the groundwork for deeper exploration into the theoretical aspects of different psychology fields in the future. 2 Trained to read and understand scientific literature in psychology, developing the skill to access primary information directly. 3 To emphasize the development of critical thinking skills, preparing students to discern between scientific facts and pseudoscience in today's era of information overload. 4 To apply the psychological knowledge acquired in class to real-life situations, encouraging students to reflect on and analyze psychological issues relevant to everyday life.

1. Exams (50%): Midterm (25%) & Final Exam (25%), covering all content mentioned in the course, including videos linked. 2. Group Report (20%): Topics will focus on various fields of psychology and their application to aspects of daily life. 5-minute group video (15%): Creatively present on the given topic in any format. Peer grading (5%): Each student is required to score each group's video on NTU cool. 3. Individual Report (30%): Academic psychology report (15%): Reading report on an academic psychology paper or a report on a lecture experience. Popular psychology report (15%): Report on a psychology-related movie, TV series, or book. 4. Extra Credit Report (10%): CV/Resume (5%) Final confession - testament (5%) 5. Extra Credit for Participating in Psychology Experiments (4%): 2% per participation, up to a maximum of 4%, regardless of the duration. 6. Special Extra Credit Opportunities: Offered sporadically.
